De Javasche Bank (Bank Indonesia Museum), Vihara Dharma Bhakti, Cat Cafe
this is a delayed post :( I've been wanting to write about my trip to these places but haven't got the time to do so.
I and a friend of mine have been planning to go to vihara for some time and we finally did!
We met at the station and proceeded to go to De Javasche Bank (I almost got hit by a motorcycle but all is good). This building was initially a bank but now it's a museum. We paid Rp 5000 for the ticket and we were served with beautiful history of Indonesia's economy. Although it's not too interactive but it's better than most museums. The rooms are nice and cold, the visuals are pretty aaaand we luckily got the chance to watch the history of De Javasche Bank in an immersive room! It was part of the package but they don't always play the movie.
There's this cool room filled with gold bars and there's also a room full of money from around the world.... well yea basically it's all about the money money money
Lastly, we relaxed at a cat cafe, located in pasar minggu if im not mistaken. It was really cool, being in the cat cafe for the first time. But idk, i feel like the cats were fed up with humans??? Hahaha they preferred to just hide and sleep
Overall very relaxing tho, and very cute! Oh and this costed me 60k for the first hour
That was one productive day and i had a lot of fun! Shout out to Iqi for taking me to those places hahahaha

Next! We went to Vihara Dharma Bakti, which is a religious place for Buddhists. Well just like most viharas, it smells really nice and was dominated by the color red hehe. Oh and turns out they're serving foods for people every afternoon from 11 am to 1 pm if im not mistaken. So my friend and i got to buy the food for only 3000 rupiahs! Like, how crazy is that! It's really cool how they're constantly providing food for people everyday (and ofc, prioritizing the unfortunates) not caring where the ppl are coming from, be it a moslem, christian, javanese, sundanese, chinese, etc.... oh they also do iftar food on ramadhan!
Overall very relaxing tho, and very cute! Oh and this costed me 60k for the first hour
